The Majorca flight will operate once a week as will all the other announced routes except Girona which will have twice weekly flights. The routes will be chartered by BMI.

In a statement Sunway holidays spoke of the good relationship they had with Scottish customers and the need for the introduction of the new routes due to the collapse of XL Airways and Seguro Holidays. Richard Burke formally of Seguro Holidays has joined the Sunway’s team. Burke expressed delight regarding the company’s alliance with BMI.

Glasgow Airport has experienced a drop in flight numbers in the last year in comparison to their neighbors in Edinburgh. The managing director of Glasgow Airport Amanda McMillan welcomed the news and wished Sunway Holidays a very successful future.
